About BUTTON DESIGNS
Karen Winspear has always loved arts and crafts and likes to get her children involved too whenever she can. In fact, the idea for Button Designs originally came from a craft party she organised for her daughter. Using a heap of buttons, some canvasses and plenty of imagination the children at the party created their own picture to take home. All the parents were so impressed and requests for Karen to create bespoke pieces started to come in. Pretty soon, Karen was working hard to keep up with the demand of commissions from friends and the potential for a small business became apparent.
Creating Button Designs enabled Karen to work from home, doing something she is passionate about and can fit around the demands of running a family and looking after her three children. These days Karen is most often found at her kitchen table, elbow deep in buttons, and loving every minute of it!
Karen’s simple yet very effective button canvasses make really striking artwork for a child’s bedroom or playroom and are great personalised and unique gifts for children’s birthdays, Christmas or Christenings.
