The founder of La La Loop, is Scottish born and bred designer, Lorraine McCue. Lorraine graduated from the former Scottish College of Textiles (now Heriot Watt University) with a Masters Degree in Knitted Textile design. She then went to work at Pringle of Scotland before deciding to go it alone and create her own collections.

Fed up with the generally old fashioned view of knitted items, Lorraine decided to shake things up a little and creates lovely, bright, fun and funky designs. She loves to make products that make a big statement by using bold designs and bright colours.

Lorraine works from her home-based studio in Glasgow and so everything in her collection is designed and made in Scotland, using high quality natural materials like fine Geelong Lambswool.

Combining bright colours and strong texture with experimental techniques and a carefully handcrafted finish, Lorraine offers a contemporary collection that defies the old fashion view of knitting. Her work is becoming increasingly recognised across the globe and she has exhibited as far afield as Japan.
