Founder of Little Patch, Kelly Martin, has always loved art and design but it wasn’t until after the arrival of her second child that she felt the time was right to start her own small business selling her artwork and creations.

As a mother, Kelly appreciates the importance of finding good quality at reasonable prices and so initially she started creating a range of children’s appliquéd t-shirts with unique designs. These proved very successful and, since January 2011, Kelly has progressed to adding her fabulous designs and artwork onto cards and other paper-based products, appealing to both adults and children of all ages.

Kelly’s inspiration comes from a combination of things; things her children say and do as well as a strong passion for the British coastline and a coastal/country lifestyle.

Kelly’s is very much the perfectionist and with her completely handmade items she’ll often make a couple of versions before settling on one to sell. She always tests out her handmade items to make sure the quality is 100%. Kelly is a stickler for quality, using only the best products and fabrics. If she’s not completely happy with her work you’re unlikely to ever see it and above all Kelly strives to make her work completely original and unique.
