About LORNA SYSON TEXTILES

Sculptural Textile designer, Lorna Syson, graduated with a first class (Hons) degree from Loughborough University. During her time at University, Lorna took an extra year to complete a diploma in professional studies designing, in both the UK and USA, for labels such as Diane Von Furstenberg, Jovani, Peachoo and Kresbery, Next and Topshop.
In 2009, Lorna launched her own label ‘Lorna Syson Textiles’ with support from the Princes Trust, in association with the Prince of Wales, and has since been successfully exhibiting her handmade sculptural textiles across the UK.
Lorna then made her first international debut with the British European Design Group at ICFF, exhibiting in New York in May 2010, before going on to appear at the Interior lifestyle show, in Tokyo in June 2010.
Lorna’s floral inspired, interior collection consists of beautifully printed, laser cut and manipulated suede’s, wools and cottons to produce one-off statement pieces and limited edition collections for soft furnishings and wall decoration.
Her wall flower designs are inspired by Dahlia and Chrysanthemum flowers. Each is handmade petal by petal, meaning each flower is completely unique and can be specifically tailored.
