About LOULI CRAFTS
Founder of Louli Crafts, Niki Cotton grew up in a household that constantly had creative projects on the go, be it curtain making, renovating furniture or making curtains. So it is no surprise that Niki is so enthusiastic about arts and crafts, always looking for new projects of her own, making things from abstract canvases to handmade textile home accessories.
Living and working in North Wales, Niki’s creations are inspired by her love of the colour and texture that surrounds her world - mussel shells on the beach, berries and thorns on a Hawthorn spotted on an Autumn walk, the amazing light and skyscapes outside her front door, the warmth of close family and dearest friends, all wonderful experiences that are then reflected in her work.
All of Niki’s pieces are handmade and thus no two are the same, making them true originals. Even the raw materials she uses are full of character and each has a story to tell, from her Great Granny’s button collection, her Godmothers 1960’s fabric store, to some fabric left over from new curtains. Niki uses a combination of materials, vintage and new, given and bought, to create her charming, eclectic and shabby chic style handmade home accessories.
