Lucy Liz is a design label and business created by designer-maker Lucy Elizabeth Atkinson. Lucy has always had a keen interest in art and design and even made her first handbag range when she was just six years old. Fortunately her designs have moved on from the original ones made from paper and staples but the drive was clearly there from a very early age.

Lucy’s passion for design continued all the way through her education and in 2009 she graduated from Cleveland College of Art and Design. Having studied many disciplines – jewellery, ceramics, textiles and art history – Lucy found she was constantly drawn back to textiles.

This passion continued as Lucy left university and launched her own label and Lucy Liz Textiles was born. The Lucy Liz Textiles collection includes a range of handbags, some fabric and some from hand-felted Merino wool, as well as scarves and other accessories all designed by Lucy herself.

Lucy says: “I am constantly driven by coming up with something new, be it a new style, surface design or a new product altogether. As a designer there’s nothing I find more satisfying than finally being able to present a new products to the public having made it in the privacy of my workroom, and the feedback is always welcome!”

Every gorgeous piece in the Lucy Liz Textiles collection is handmade, making each one truly unique, and the combinations of vibrant colours and quirky designs make for something truly special!
