After 15 years spent successfully working in the fashion industry, both buying and desiging, Louise decided to take her designs, and indeed her career, in a new direction, combining the two things she simply adores - interiors and fabric

Having travelled the world, Louise settled in a old farm house nestled in the beautiful Peak District where she creates a gorgeous range of handmade home and garden accessories including cushions, bags, pictures, and much more.

All of her pieces are handmade, using both machine and hand embroidery, and incorporating recycled fabrics collected over the years and donated by friends.

In the main, Louise creates beautifully handmade, personalised and unique pictures, a range which started as pictures for her daughter’s room, when she was born, and then developed through to commissions.

Each picture is unique and Louise enjoys using fabrics which are personal to the customer. Her creative use of words and sayings inspires her to produce pictures which can also be personalised with the customers own sayings or words

The Red Designs range is very diverse and constantly changing and evolving, probably due to the constant newness required when designing fashion ranges for a living in Louise’s previous working life.

All products in the range are individually made to order and can be personalised to add that something special to the piece – creating the perfect gift!
