Timea Sido is a successful, award winning ceramics designer-maker. Timea studied at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. She graduated in 2001 and within just a year she had set up her own studio at the prestigious Cockpit Arts London.

From her studio, Timea designs and creates all her beautifully handmade and intricate ceramic pieces. She boast some high profile clients including Kevin McCloud, Molton Brown, Kelly Hoppen, Aveda, Liberty and Fortnum and Mason – testament to her originality and skill.

Timea’s ceramic work is far from conventional ceramics. Her designs are so beautifully intricate, created by using fine White Earthenware and an innovative technique where delicate organic lines of clay are formed and layered to construct the final piece. Her signature style is the delicately ‘tangled’ pattern structure with fine detailing this technique enables.

Included in her collection on Swanky Maison are enchanting bowls, vessels, boxes, t-lights and other decorative items, all incorporating her unique pattern structure.

Timea has accomplished so much in such a short time. Her original and exquisitely made ceramics has been well received and documented by the media and the press. Her work was featured in ‘Breaking the Mould’ a new contemporary ceramics book published by Black Dog Publishing. She also won Best Dressed Stand @ PULSE 08 for her innovative display and enchanting collection of ceramics, textiles and gifts. More recently Timea was awarded the runner up prize for the Export Award at Origin 2009.
