About ZEAL ARTS
Artist and founder of Zeal Arts, Sara Schofield, was born in Cornwall where she has lived all her lives and where she studied Art and Design. Sara has always been passionate about creating beautiful handcrafted pieces of art and worked as an interior designer, before taking time out to raise her two beautiful boys. Sara’s children are now happily settled at school, freeing up her time to become creative again – something she’s been longing to do now for many years.
The ideas for Sara’s designs came to her when she discovered how difficult it was to buy modern pieces of art that hold special wording or scripture. She couldn’t find anything suitable and so began creating her own. The response to Sara’s creations from family and friends was so enthusiastic that she was encouraged to produce her artwork on a commercial basis, and thus Zeal Arts was born.
Sara specialises in creating box frame pictures, each incorporating a lovingly hand painted and distressed wooden laser cut-out fixed to a carefully chosen backing paper which has been hand torn. Below this is then a scripture/text in a typewriter font which also can be personalised. In the corner of each picture is a stone effect emblem with the Zeal Arts logo. The white box frame is made from wood from sustainable forests and can be either hung on the wall or stood up using the hinged arm.
True to her company strapline, ?made with passion, given in love?, Sara hopes that those who receive these pieces of art gain as much joy from them as she has in making them.
