DESCRIPTION
Slate & plaster carved relief. This single tree really is dancing in the wind. To create this image, the artist uses reclaimed slate roof tiles and green slate sourced by Honister Slate Mine, to create a truly fabulous picture. The slate is cut to size, drilled and then prepared ready for the plaster to be added. The slate acts as a border creating a ready framed slate picture that can be hung on a wall, stood on a mantelpiece or shelf, and (with a weatherproof sealant applied) can be displayed outside. Unlike a print or painting, a slate carving can be displayed in direct sunlight without it becoming faded.
