DESCRIPTION
Slate & plaster carved relief. The artist uses reclaimed slate roof tiles and green Cumbrian slate sourced by Honister Slate Mine, to create a truly fabulous picture. Bolt Hole Art cuts the slate to size, drills it and then prepares it ready for the plaster to be added. The slate acts as a border creating a ‘ready framed’ slate picture that can be hung on a wall, stood on a mantelpiece or shelf, and (with a weatherproof sealant applied) can be displayed outside. Unlike a print or painting, a slate carving can be displayed in direct sunlight without it becoming discolored or faded – so these two trees on this picture really compliment each other to make an amazing picture.
