DESCRIPTION
Slate & plaster carved relief.
Using reclaimed slate roof tiles and green Cumbrian slate sourced from Honister Slate Mine, the slate is cut to size, drilled and prepared ready for the plaster to be added. The slate acts as a border creating a ‘ready framed’ slate picture that can be hung on a wall, stood on a mantelpiece or shelf, and (with a weatherproof sealant applied) can be displayed outside. Unlike a print or painting, a slate carving can be displayed in direct sunlight without it becoming discoloured or faded – so this picture of a single stylised tree is ideal for any room, even the sunniest conservatory or garden.
