Slate & plaster carved relief.
Using reclaimed slate roof tiles and green Cumbrian slate sourced by Honister Slate Mine, Bolt Hole Art cuts the slate to size, drills it and then prepares it ready for the plaster to be added. The slate acts as a border creating a ‘ready framed’ slate picture that can be hung on a wall, stood on a mantelpiece or shelf, and (with a weatherproof sealant applied) can be displayed outside. Unlike a print or painting, a slate carving can be displayed in direct sunlight without it becoming discolored or faded – so this picture of a single tree with rooms really makes a fabulous addition to any room.
