Slate & plaster carved relief. Original artwork, created using reclaimed slate roof tiles and green Cumbrian slate, cut to size, drilled and applied with plaster. The slate acts as a border creating a ‘ready framed’ slate picture that can be hung on a wall, stood on a mantelpiece or shelf, and (with a weatherproof sealant applied) can be displayed outside. Unlike a print or painting, a slate carving can be displayed in direct sunlight without it becoming discoloured or faded – so this picture of a single tree is ideal for any room, even the sunniest conservatory or garden.
