DESCRIPTION
Slate & plaster carved relief. Using green Cumbrian slate sourced from Honister Slate Mine and reclaimed slate roof tiles, the slate is cut to size and prepared before plaster is added. The slate creates a ‘ready framed’ picture that can be hung on a wall, stood on a mantelpiece or shelf and, when applied with a weatherproof sealant, can be displayed outside. Unlike a print or painting, a slate carving can be displayed in direct sunlight without it becoming discoloured or faded, making this ideal artwork for any room, even the sunniest conservatory or garden.
