Sparrow Primitives' signature distinctive and sought after decorative wooden shelf blocks are all carefully and expertly handmade. They are cut and sanded in Sparrow Primitives' studio from locally sourced FSC approved solid wood, then handpainted and distressed. No aspect of the work is outsourced, ensuring a top quality product. The picture block features a gilded edging for a subtle touch of vintage glamour. They have been finished with a protective coat of wax. These beautiful blocks look stunning on a mantlepiece, shelf, dresser or as part of a window or table display and would make an ideal gift for an engagement, a wedding or an anniversary.
These beautiful blocks can be painted in your choice of colour, but please be aware that the picture block will have to remain vintage cream or white, in order to provide a background for the detailed picture. The bottom block will be painted in your colour choice and the Cupids will be painted to match. The lettering can be painted in either granite or cream, depending in the base colour chosen.
The picture block measures approximately 7cm tall x 12cm wide x 4cm deep. The largest sign block measures approximately 7cm tall x 23cm wide x 4cm deep.
They are handcrafted, so slight variations will occur. We use only top grade wood but sometimes there may be slight imperfections as it is a natural product.
