Delivery Timescales

We're committed to offering a great service and aim to fulfil your order as soon as possible.  However, we also strive to offer perfection and, because all the items are hand crafted and often custom-made, delivery timescales will vary depending on the individual seller and the work involved in creating each product.

If ordering from more than one seller, your items will arrive as separate packages and at different times, but that surely just adds to the excitement!

Relevant delivery timescales are clearly shown on individual product pages and within the confirmation of order email you will receive.  Once a seller has lovingly made and sent your order, you will receive a despatch confirmation email letting you know that your goodies are on their way.

In the unlikely event that your order will take longer to make and despatch than originally specified, we'll be sure to let you know. You will receive an email as soon as possible, informing you of the delay and telling you when you can expect to receive your item(s).  You will, of course, be given the opportunity to cancel that order, prior to its creation, if you so wish.

Delivery Charges

Each item is created to order, often personalised or custom-made, and delivered to you directly from its maker. Our sellers are required to despatch their wares directly safety and securely, which naturally incurs a cost.

We do encourage our sellers to offer free delivery, where possible, and insist that, where applicable, costs are always fair and reasonable.  Some will offer free delivery on all items, a few will offer free or reduce delivery charges on orders above a certain value, and others will base delivery costs on the size and weight of the package. Whatever the deal, nobody makes a profit on postage (well except the Post Office!).

Whether free, reduced or at cost, individual delivery charges are clearly specified on each product page, so there's no nasty surprises when you get to the checkout.

Each item is created to order, often personalised or custom-made, and despatched direct from its maker. This does mean that separate delivery charges will be made from each seller but just think of the time saved not trawling the shops, the parking money saved, not to mention how tired your feet would be!


Order Cancellations

Just in case you got carried away or have changed your mind for any reason, you can simply cancel you order within 7 working days by emailing or, if the item has already been despatched, you can return it to the seller in accordance with our returns policy, below.

However, exceptions do apply where items are personalised, custom-made or commissioned at point of sale.  However, where possible, if the cancellation is received before work commences and the seller agrees, your order will be cancelled.

Where a cancellation is acceptable, a full refund (including any postage fees) will be made via our payment provider, Sagepay, to the credit or debit card used to place the order.



We want you to be happy with the products you purchase from us. Both Swanky Maison and our sellers all take tremendous pride in ensuring are customers are delighted with the goods they receive. We therefore offer a 30 days no quibble returns policy, whereby you have up to 30 days from the receipt of your goods to return the item(s) and for any reason.

However, please bear in mind, that exceptions do apply where items are personalised, custom-made or commissioned at point of sale.  Therefore, some items are non-returnable so if you are unsure about an item before you buy and/or return it, please refer to the individual returns policy for the specific seller.

Refunds or exchanges will be made to you within 21 days of receipt of the returned item(s), so long as the terms and conditions specified in our returns policy have been adhered to.  Exchanges are subject to stock or material availability. Unfortunately, unless an item is deemed faulty, we cannot refund the postage cost for that order.

We're dedicated to providing products of superior quality and, therefore, closely monitor all returns, and the reasons stated for those returns, in order to appraise performance and ensure our high standards are maintained.



Returns Procedure

If you wish to return an item, and organise either an exchange or a refund, please complete the 'Request Return / Exchange' form in your 'My Account' area prior to sending the items back to the seller.  The returns address for each seller will be shown on the despatch note sent with the order.  However, by completing this brief form, we can locate your order details, understand your reasons for returning and inform the seller that a returned item is on its way to them. Returns can not be accepted until this form is completed and we have authorised the return.

Items must be returned in their original condition, any labels still attached and with their original packaging intact. You must not destroy or dispose of any product or packaging, even if it is faulty, before completing the returns form and receiving confirmation of how to return the item.

Once the form is completed and the seller has received the item(s), a full refund will be made via our payment provider, Sagepay, to the credit or debit card used to place the order.

Exchanges can only be made with the seller who made the item being returned and thus only for items made by them.

The cost of returning the item will be at your expense. Where an item is agreed to be faulty, the cost of this returns postage will be refunded along with the value of the item returned. You must obtain proof of postage in order to receive a refund for a faulty item.

Whilst all our sellers adhere to internet selling guidelines and where applicable our above returns policy, due to the nature of the items they produce individual seller terms may vary slightly and therefore, when ordering from a specific seller, we urge you to read their own delivery and returns policy.
